On this project, we had to remodel a kitchen after damage from and kitchen fire. All the while we also needed to keep the kitchen functional for the homeowners.
Damage from Stove Fire
For this kitchen remodel, we had to repair the damage from a stove fire. In addition, we also installed new countertops, refinished all the cabinets, and installed ceramic tile flooring.
Floors Before Prep
At the start of the demolition phase, we remove the trim and began removing the wallpaper.
Walls and Ceiling Before Prep
Here we see the original walls which has wallpaper on the upper portion of the kitchen. You can also see the original lighting fixture and ceiling finish which is dull from the kitchen fire.
Repairing walls and Removing Ceiling Texture
We begin by removing the ceiling texture and wallpaper. Then we repair and smooth the Sheetrock.
Remove Wallpaper and Prep Floors for Tile
As we are removing the wallpaper, we start installing the underlayment for the ceramic tile.
Installing Tile and Countertops
Here the walls have been painted, the ceramic tile is down as we complete the installation of the new countertops.
Installing Backsplash and Refinishing Cabinets
After the backsplash is grouted, the trim pieces are installed. The cabinets have also be sanded and a clear coat applied.
Cabinets Refinished with Backsplash and Countertops Installed
The cabinets have been refinished and the new countertops and ceramic backsplash installed.
Walls Painted and Ceiling Refinished
The walls have been painted and trim refinished. New ceiling texture was applied to the ceiling and the light fixture replaced.
