This older house had several makeovers over the decades. We removed the carpet from the floor and restored the existing hardwood floors and for the bathroom room the wall tile and tub were refinished.
Carpet Removal
The old carpet and padding was removed throughout the house
Stripping the Floor
Using mild cleaning agents the floors were stripped of the old foam and finish
Spot Work
Hand sanders were used in some spots to do the final removal so as not to damage the flooring
Treating the Floors
The floors were then buffed with natural wood oils and allowed to dry
Final Coat
Finally, the floors were sealed and buffed.
The Main Bathroom
It would have been a budget breaker to demolish the tile, so an epoxy coating was used instead
Prep Work
Before the coating can be applied, the tub and tile had to be thoroughly de-greased and sanded to etch the surface.
Coating Completed
Multiple coats were applied with each coat allowed to dry completed before the next
