Structural Bracing
Additional structural bracing was added and adhesive and screws were used on the sheathing
New Door and Sheathing
A new energy efficient door was installed
Adding Insulation
The existing siding was removed and insulation was added to the walls
House Wrap and Sheathing
A 2-foot band of pressure treated plywood was installed. House wrap was added to reduce air infiltration
What’s a rainscreen?
Furring strips were installed to create an air gap between the wall and siding. This help with temperature control and reduces chances of rot.
New Window Added
Installing waterproofing on frame for new window. Rigid foam was used on the back wall instead of house wrap due to the direct sunlight in the summertime.
Nooks and Crannies
Foam insulation was used around the new window and door to provide a good seal
Window Installed
Starting to install trim around window as siding is being installed
